Captain Matthew Pavlich is the finest player to have ever worn the Fremantle guernsey and yesterday he became only the third player in the history of the club to reach 200 games, joining Shane Parker (238 games) and Shaun McManus (228 games).
To commemorate Matthew’s magical 200 game milestone, the club have produced a set of limited edition memorabilia pieces which are now on-sale.
Wearing arguably the most coveted ‘29’ in the competition, it is only fitting that twenty nine memorabilia pieces have been produced for Matthew’s milestone, which took place in Fremantle's stirring win in the 29th Carlton Mid Derby on Saturday.
Celebrate our Captain’s 200 game milestone by owning one of the ‘29’ limited edition memorabilia pieces which are available for $895.00 each.
Already in high demand, the framed items will include an autographed number '29' guernsey, as well as photographs of Matthew from his 200th game and career. Each piece will also come with a certificate of authenticity.
In a stellar career to date, Matthew has won five Doig Medals and has been named All-Australian six times, including the last four years.
Despite his many individual accolades, Matthew said the nine-game winning streak that drove Fremantle deep into the 2006 finals series was probably the highlight of his 200 games.
"That was certainly the most enjoyable time that I've been involved in – no surprises that it had to do with winning and winning consistently," he said.
"Playing in the International Rules series and being involved in the Dream Team game, things like that individually are nice little feathers in the cap, but certainly the winning streak was right up there."
The Matthew Pavlich – 200 Games: Limited edition memorabilia pieces are available from the Team Store at either Subiaco Oval or Fremantle Oval, by calling the Team Store on (08) 9433 7192 or by visiting the club’s Online Team Store.
