Fremantle midfielder Anthony Morabito has suffered a setback in his planned returned to senior football after injuring his left knee at training.

Morabito, who has been playing for Peel in the WAFL, underwent a reconstruction on his left knee in December 2010 after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said today that the 20-year-old had an MRI scan on his left knee and would see a specialist later this week.

“At this stage we are awaiting medical advice to determine the nature and extent of the injury and we will be in a position to provide an update after that time,” Bond said.
