Five Fremantle players have polled in the AFLCA coaches’ award voting for round two, with Hayley Miller taking out a perfect 10 votes.

Following up on an impressive round one performance, the skipper again had an impact in the middle and in the forward line, kicking her third goal in two games and leading Fremantle’s possession count with 19.

Miller worked hard in Freo’s engine room finishing the game with seven tackles, seven score involvements, 422 metres gained and two clearances.

The AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.

While captain Miller and vice-captain Kiara Bowers finished the game full of run, it was the work of 19-year-old Dana East that caught the eye in the first half when the game was up for grabs.

The draftee's slick hands were on show against the Giants to earn herself five votes as she recorded nine disposals, seven tackles and three clearances to half time and was arguably Fremantle’s best player for the half.

Finally earning one vote, defender Laura Pugh was a rock down back for Freo with her 13 disposals and four clearances, stepping up late in the match when fellow defender Janelle Cuthbertson left the ground due to injury.
