Fremantle will take on the West Coast Eagles this Saturday 8 January in the RAC Derby at Fremantle Oval for a blockbuster opening round of the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s competition. Bounce down is at 5.50pm WST.

AFLW Member ticketing information

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s match and as an AFLW member you will be able to redeem your free ticket. If you have already redeemed a ticket for the previously scheduled match against the Adelaide Crows, this ticket will still be valid for the RAC Derby.

General public ticketing information

If you have already purchased a ticket for the previously scheduled game against the Adelaide Crows, this ticket will still be valid for Saturday’s RAC Derby.

The Fremantle Dockers merchandise van will be situated to the left of the main gate from 4.20pm.

Fans and Community team

Our Fans and Community team will be running a Freo Footprints ‘come and try’ activation under the old fig tree from 4.20pm. Freo Footprints, is a fundamental movement skill program for children aged 2-4 which incorporates various forms of sporting equipment such as footballs, sponge balls, tennis balls and bean bags to enhance movement patterns.

There will also be a handball target, other fun games and giveaways for the older fans. Be sure to have a go and grab a poster!

Proof of COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS 

From Tuesday 4 January 2022, there are now proof of vaccination requirements in place for all events over 500 patrons. As a condition of entry, all patrons over the age of 16 must show proof you are double dose vaccinated against COVID-19, along with identification.

While children aged between 12 and 15 years are eligible to be vaccinated, they are not required to show proof of vaccination in order to attend.

In line with the latest state government update, masks will not be required at the match.

Please note that this information is based on the current restrictions in place. As restrictions are updated these requirements may change. 

MOBILE TICKETING

The easiest and safest way to access tickets to your events is via mobile ticketing. When you select mobile delivery at checkout, your mobile phone is your ticket and your ticket will not be available for print or be emailed to you. Please ensure your mobile phone is charged to allow your tickets to scan on arrival at the venue.

GATE AND VENUE ENTRY

You must enter and exit Fremantle Oval via gate one.

QR CODES

Please look out for the QR code posted in your ticketed area where you must check-in using the recommended SafeWA app. If you do not have the SafeWA app, there will be a register at the gate that you must sign to enter the venue. If you do not check in you will be refused entry. 

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Observe social distancing whenever possible. No person is to approach players or officials for autographs or photos.
  • Please remember you are required to wear a face mask if in an indoor public setting or you cannot physically distance at least 1.5 metres or two arms lengths from each other.
  • Patrons are encouraged to wash hands and sanitise regularly.
  • Patrons are asked to cough or sneeze into a tissue or their elbow.
  • Food and beverage purchases will be sold by cashless payment methods only. When lining up to purchase items it is important to give people in front and behind you adequate space.
  • Important to note - Bags or other items larger than an A3 piece of paper may not be permitted.
  • No cloaking facilities are available.
  • No chairs/ seats are permitted to be brought into the venue.
  • Movement once in Fremantle Oval should be minimised.
  • No pass-outs are available.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Patrons are expected to stay home if feeling unwell and will be denied entry to the venue should they have or show symptoms that may place persons at risk or endanger or impact on public health.

We recommend all patrons download the Australian Government COVIDSafe app, and have it running on their phones with Bluetooth enabled.

How you can help

  • Please have your Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination ready to show upon entry 
  • Plan to arrive early at games where possible, to avoid crowds at entry points close to match start times
  • Practise good hygiene and regularly and thoroughly wash your hands
  • Maintain physical distancing, keep at least 1.5 metres away from others
  • If you feel unwell do not attend AFLW games

You acknowledge, even with rigorous capacity and control measures in place at matches, there remains an unquantifiable risk of transmission of viral illness including COVID-19 at a match at this time and you have considered that risk and your own personal circumstances, including in circumstances where there is greater capacity density, and including any health condition or vulnerability that you may have or that of persons whom you will be in close contact with following your attendance at a match. You acknowledge that, for a small number of people, COVID-19 has very serious health consequences. By attending a match you (and any persons who attend the match with you) acknowledge and accept these obvious risks.
