Hayden Young’s pre-season has had a minor interruption after undergoing a non-football related surgical procedure.
The defender officially returned to training at the Club on Monday 22 November and ran in the time trials, but he did not take part in training with the first to four year playing group on Wednesday.
Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell said Young would be on a modified program through December.
“Hayden has recently had a procedure for a non-football related issue. It involved a surgical procedure to drain an abscess,” Bell said.
“Hayden will be on a modified program until Christmas.
“Given he has completed a large amount of training over the leave period, we are confident that this will be only a minor interruption.”
