The 2021 Doig Medal Presentation Dinner will be held on Saturday 2 October from the Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth.
The sold-out event will also be streamed live on fremantlefc.com.au, including a special Doig Medal edition of Old Bull Young Buck with David Mundy, Griffin Logue and special guest Justin Longmuir.

Sean Darcy ranked fourth in the AFL for hitouts to advantage in 2021, an impressive feat considering he played more as a forward for eight games in 2021 when fellow ruck Lloyd Meek was in the team. His hitout to advantage win percentage of 19 per cent trailed only Nic Naitanui in the AFL (20.8 per cent). Darcy also averaged 4.7 clearances per game in 2021, more than Max Gawn (4.5) and Brodie Grundy (4), trailing only Nic Naitanui (7.2), Oscar McInerney (5.3) and Tom Hickey (5) out of the AFL’s ruckmen. His 12 goals was the equal-most for rucks who attended 1000 or more ruck contests in 2021, alongside Todd Goldstein.

Sean Darcy’s games against Carlton in round 16 and Hawthorn in round 17 both ranked inside the top 10 for the best individual performances of the season, according the Champion Data’s ranking points.
Against the Hawks he had a career high 16 contested possessions, 25 disposals and 13 hit outs to advantage from his 26 hit outs. From his nine marks, seven were intercepts and six were contested – one off a Fremantle record.
Against Carlton, he racked up an incredible 23 hitouts to advantage from his 40 hitouts in total. It saw Freo dominate the clearances 45-26 and the inside 50s 52-40.
