Hayden Ballantyne says Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich’s meticulous preparation is the key to his longevity in the game.
Pavlich has been in fine form this year, including a dominant four-goal performance against Essendon in Freo’s 28-poin win on Saturday.
Ballantyne said Pavlich, who will turn 34 later this year, was still at his prime.
“He’s kicking goals and running around really well,” he said.
“He’s taken some good clunks and been a really good target for us up forward.”
Ballantyne said Pavlich and fellow veteran Luke McPharlin were the most impeccable in their preparation at the club.

“His form is a credit to him, the way he prepares for games,” he said.
“He’s the most elite preparer at the club with Luke McPharlin, so it’s not surprise how well they’re playing.”
