Peel Thunder were defeated by 92-points against Subiaco on Saturday at Rushton Park.
Senior development coach Marc Webb runs through how the 11 Fremantle-listed players fared for Peel.
In the reserves competition, Lloyd Meek rucked for Peel in Subiaco’s 25-point win.
Stefan Giro
Played inside and as a forward. He had a really impressive game with 27 possessions, nine tackles and nine clearances as one of Peel’s better players. He impacted around the ball and ran well both ways.
Ethan Hughes
Played in the backline in what was obviously a tough day with Subiaco having quite a few entries. He ended up with 22 possessions, was good with his ball use and also with his rebound.

Tommy Sheridan
Played on the wing and as an inside midfielder. He had a quiet start but he really improved in the second half as one of our main ball winners with 15 possessions in the second half and six clearances in a positive end to the game.
Shane Kersten
Played down back opposed to one of the leading goalkickers in the comp in Brad Stevenson. Stevenson ended up with three goals but Kersten had a good influence with 19 possessions and five marks in another good performance as a defender.
Taylin Duman
Played down back for the day. He was strong defensively but didn’t have as much impact as he usually has offensively.
Tom North
Played in the midfield and forward. He didn’t get much of the ball, he was good around the contest and he performed well in the clearances.
Luke Strnadica
Luke started forward and kicked two goals. He took three contested marks and provided a presence forward, especially early in the game when Peel were competitive. In the ruck, Luke had 18 hitouts.
Scott Jones
Played predominantly forward and also in the ruck. He contributed as a tall, took six marks with four contested marks and kicked a goal.
Harley Bennell
Played forward for the game and had a strong presence as one of our deeper talls in another game of building minutes and his fitness. When the ball came in, he was able to take six marks with three contested, providing an option forward. Harley also gave Peel some good inside 50 entries when he had the ball in his hands.
Michael Apeness
Played in the ruck for the majority of the game in a tough battle with Zac Clarke. Michael ended up having 32 hitouts and kicking 1.1 when he went forward.
Cam Sutcliffe
Played the majority of the game in defence and then went to the wing in the second half. He defended well on his man but had limited impact with the ball in his first game back from injury.
Lloyd Meek
Lloyd rucked in the reserves. There were positive signs with his ruck work at the centre square bounce. He gave Peel’s inside mids first use and he continues to improve his work rate and marking around the ground.
