The AFL Tribunal has upheld Nat Fyfe’s one-game suspension for striking in a hearing held in Melbourne on Tuesday afternoon, with Fyfe appearing via video link from Perth.
Fyfe was initially sighted by the AFL’s match review officer Michael Christian for the incident involving Collingwood’s Levi Greenwood during the third quarter of Sunday’s clash at the MCG.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head, while Fremantle argued that Fyfe’s conduct was careless, not intentional.
The jury of Wayne Henwood, David Neitz and Jason Johnson deliberated for more than 20-minutes before reaching their decision, which upheld the initial grading of intentional.

As a result, Fyfe's one-match suspension sood meaning he will miss Sunday's game against Adelaide at Optus Stadium.
Fyfe made a brief statement following the hearing.
"Thank you for coming and for your interest in today’s case," Fyfe said.
"Unfortunately the Tribunal decision was that the (one) week (suspension) stands.
"I’m disappointed by the result but grateful for a fair hearing and thank you to my counsel, Mr Nick Tweedie, over in Melbourne.
"I’m disappointed I can’t be helping my team this weekend against Adelaide but will do everything I can in my power to get ready to go against Carlton next week."
