A graduate of Fremantle’s Next Generation Academy, Draper made his AFL debut in his second season with the Club, ultimately playing 20 senior games in 2024. The 20-year-old key defender earned the Round 20 AFL Rising Star nomination after his 18 disposal, four-mark performance against West Coast in the RAC Derby. He also played a crucial role in Fremantle’s one-point win over the Swans in Round 16, making multiple intercept marks and key spoils in the dying minutes. Draper was named in the AFL’s 22under22 team for 2024 and was recognised as Fremantle’s most promising young player, winning the Beacon Award at the Doig Medal.
