Fremantle legend Matthew Pavlich is excited about Freo’s prospects for the 2019 season, with the club boasting their deepest forwardline in years.
Pavlich, who won Fremantle’s goalkicking eight times, believes Fremantle will benefit significantly from a forwardline spearheaded by Jesse Hogan and Rory Lobb.
“The new signings add a different dimension. It makes it more competitive,” Pavlich said.
“Think about Matt Taberner and Brennan Cox. They’re going to have to fight really hard for their spots in the team along with Rory and Jesse and a few others down there.
“These guys alongside are going to put their hands up straight away, it makes it competitive and it makes it really healthy.”
Pavlich said he was hopeful that Hogan could become the next great forward at the club.
“He’s got his own injury concerns at the moment in terms of getting himself back and is working incredibly hard,” Pavlich said.
“Jesse is a very talented player, high draft pick, someone who should have a long and illustrious career here.”
