The Fremantle Dockers today confirmed four changes to the club’s playing list.
Cameron Sutcliffe, Tommy Sheridan, Brady Grey and Luke Strnadica have been advised that their contracts would not be extended.
CEO Steve Rosich thanked each of the four players for the commitment and contribution they made to the playing group and the club during their time at Fremantle.
“Cameron played 100-plus games for the club, with the milestone being a testament to his work ethic and resilience. He was also a valuable contributor to the club’s first ever Grand Final team in 2013 and was Fremantle’s Player of the Finals in 2014,” Rosich said.
“Tommy always had a positive impact on the group and played a significant number of his 81 games for Fremantle during the club’s most successful era to date.
“Brady worked really hard to establish himself as an AFL player in his five seasons at the club and also made a valuable contribution via his assistant coaching roles with Fremantle’s AFLW team and the club’s Next Generation Academy.
“Luke is still in the early stages of his career and will continue to work hard on improving his ruck craft.
“We value what Cameron, Tommy, Brady and Luke have each done for the club. They are all fine young men and we thank them for their commitment and professionalism throughout their time at Fremantle, and we wish them all the best for the future.”
Rosich also explained why Fremantle had delayed the club’s first end of season list lodgement.
“We delayed our final list decisions until after the recent Trade Period because of the uncertainty regarding the number of players that would eventually be traded in and, ultimately, the exact number of selections we would have in next month’s National Draft,” Rosich said.
“Given that we secured four players in the Trade and Free Agency periods – in Jesse Hogan, Rory Lobb, Reece Conca and Travis Colyer – and that we secured four selections in the National Draft via picks 14, 31, 43 and 65 we then reached a position where we could finalise the changes to our list.”

Sutcliffe played 104 games for Fremantle between 2012 and 2018, including the club’s maiden Grand Final appearance in 2013. The defender arrived at Fremantle after being taken with pick no.71 in the 2011 National Draft.
He made his debut against the Western Bulldogs in round 15, 2012, and quickly became renowned for his hard work, elite running ability and ability to pressure his opponent. He won the club’s Beacon Award in 2013 and was Fremantle’s Player of the Finals in 2014.
Sutcliffe was also a member of Peel Thunder’s 2017 WAFL Grand Final winning team.
Sheridan played 81 games for Fremantle between 2012 and 2018. Taken with pick no.16 at the 2011 National Draft. The midfielder made his debut in round 23, 2012 against North Melbourne.
Sheridan played a variety of roles at Fremantle, including in defence and as a running midfielder, where his elite speed was on show.
He was a member of Peel Thunder’s 2017 WAFL Grand Final winning team.
Grey played 21 games for Fremantle between 2015 and 2018. Taken with pick no.58 in the 2013 National Draft, Grey made his debut for Fremantle against Port Adelaide in round 23, 2015.
His 2018 season was hampered by shoulder injury, where he played in only the final four games of the season.
Grey was known for his tenacity and ability to pressure opposition defenders. He was also highly regarded for his off-field contributions to the club, undertaking assistant coaching roles with Fremantle’s AFLW team and the club’s Next Generation Academy.
Strnadica was taken with pick no.21 in the 2016 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
The ruckman leaves the club without an AFL appearance, having played 29 league and nine reserves games for Peel Thunder.
