Fremantle have completed a swap of draft picks, finalising a trade with Port Adelaide on Thursday.
Fremantle will receive pick no. 11, second round selections 23 and 30 and third round selection 49 from Port, in exchange for pick no.6 and a future third round pick.
The total value on the AFL Draft Value Index for the four picks secured from Port Adelaide is 3060 points.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Port Adelaide, which will see us retain a first round pick plus secure two second round selections and a third round selection,” Fremantle’s general manager of football Peter Bell said.
“The exchange of selections will provide either more currency in this Trade Period or, alternatively, be a very attractive proposition for this year’s National Draft.”
Prior to the pick swap, Fremantle did not have a second round pick in the draft, it now has two second round selections and a third round selection.
Fremantle’s current draft hand for the 2018 NAB AFL National Draft is picks no.11, 23, 30, 49 and 80.
It is Fremantle’s second deal of the Free Agency/Trade Period after securing Richmond midfielder Reece Conca as a free agent last Friday.
Conca’s signing continues a recent trend of Fremantle recruiting WA-produced talent playing interstate, with the former Perth Demon signing a three-year deal to become a Fremantle Docker.
