Season 2019 will mark 25 years of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club.
In the mid-nineties it was names like Dale Kickett, Shaun McManus and Ben Allan on the highlight reels.
Then the Freo Faithful were treated to rocking up to Subiaco Oval with the red, green and purple on to cheer on players like Luke McPharlin, Peter Bell and of course, Matthew Pavlich.
Today it is the likes of Nat Fyfe, the Hill brothers and Michael Walters alongside up and coming stars like Andrew Brayshaw and Adam Cerra taking the reins as Fremantle looks toward another exciting era.
In its 25th year, the club is built on some incredibly strong foundations. We boast an army of 55,639 members – who all share the passion for the purple. We play in the best football stadium in Australia and boast the league’s best training and administration facilities.
So to commemorate this special year, a unique 25-year club logo has been designed and will feature on the front of the playing jumpers for Fremantle’s first AFL game played at Optus Stadium in 2019.
This will be a one-off jumper to commemorate the start of Fremantle’s 25th season in the AFL. Throughout the season, the logo will also feature on the back of Fremantle’s home and away playing jumpers.
The number ‘25’ forms a striking design based on the chevrons synonymous with the club’s jumper. “Forever Freo” completes the logo, creating a special tribute to the club’s proud history and an exciting future.
The commemorative jumpers are available for pre-order from the Fremantle Team Store.
There will be other exciting content features and special events next season that we can’t wait for our fans to be part of.
