Lachie Neale has received top votes in the 2018 Shadforth Financial Group AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year for round 21, with the coaches awarding him 10 out of a possible 10 votes.
Neale played a crucial role in Fremantle’s win against Carlton on Sunday, picking up 34 disposals, which 18 of those were contested, as Freo prevailed by 29 points.
The midfielder had 10 clearances, four inside 50s and was nominated for a goal of the year contender.

David Mundy, Nathan Wilson and Ed Langdon also pulled votes, with senior coach's Ross Lyon and Brendon Bolton allocating their votes on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis.
