The AFL has released the full round 23 fixture which includes Fremantle’s clash with Collingwood at Optus Stadium.
The game will be played on Saturday 25 August at 2.35pm.
It is a win for Freo fans, with the club pushing hard to get the popular Saturday time slot across the line for the anticipated big crowd.
With Collingwood currently sitting third on the ladder and pushing for a top-two place, the clash is set to generate plenty of interest heading into the AFL finals series.
It will also likely feature Chris Mayne’s first game played in front of the Purple Army since joining Collingwood – with the forward playing 172 games for Fremantle prior to being traded ahead of the 2017 season.
As Fremantle’s final home game of the season, the game will be acknowledged as the annual member thank you round, with various giveaways and activations to celebrate Fremantle’s record membership of more than 55,000 fans this season.
Tickets for the game are now on sale via Ticketmaster and can be purchased here.
