Michael Walters earned the equal-most coach’s votes from Sunday’s clash with North Melbourne at Optus Stadium. 

Walters was awarded nine votes by senior coaches Ross Lyon and Brad Scott, with the voting allocated on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis.

The Fremantle leader switched between the forwardline and the midfield, kicking two goals, taking eight marks, laying six tackles and collecting 13 contested possessions among his 27 disposals.

Nat Fyfe added to his tally with three votes for his 31 disposal and eight clearance performance.

With 51 votes so far this season, Fyfe’s lead in the Shadforth AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award is five over Carlton’s Patrick Cripps while Richmond’s Trent Cotchin and Melbourne’s Max Gawn are third with 45 votes.
