Fox Footy presenter Gerard Healy claimed Fremantle captain Nat Fyfe is performing at his 2015 Brownlow winning level during On the Couch on Monday.
“He’s opened his account magnificently,” Healy said.
“His numbers are right back to his Brownlow medal best.”
Former AFL coach Paul Roos also praised Fyfe’s stoppage work and ability to outperform as one of the ‘taller’ midfielders.
“The stoppage work he did (on Saturday) was unbelievable,” Roos said.
“I think you’ve got to appreciate when you look at him, he’s genuinely a big man.
“He’s capable of doing things that the majority of midfielders just simply aren’t capable of doing.”
The duo also commented on Fremantle’s back line, deeming it ‘pretty dangerous.’
“They’ve rebuilt their back line pretty well,” Healy said.
“They are a pretty dangerous outfit…they’ve got talent.”
Fyfe ranks third in the AFL players’ top 50, averaging 31 disposals a game this season.
Saturday’s win against the Bulldogs saw him continue his solid start to the year, collecting 43 disposals, his highest in his 143-game career.
The Fremantle skipper is set to line up against the West Coast Eagles in the Western Derby on Sunday as the club looks to remain undefeated at Optus Stadium.
