Fremantle’s Harley Bennell is back training with his team mates after being ordered away from the club for two months following an off-field incident.
General manager of football operations Chris Bond said the 25-year-old had been training with Peel Thunder for the past eight weeks and had undertaken a separate training program set by Fremantle’s strength and conditioning staff.
“Harley has returned to the club today after undertaking and completing what was required of him in the agreed time frame,” Bond said.
“He now has the opportunity to resume training with his team mates and meet our expected standards and also those of an elite AFL player.”
Bennell, who suffered a minor calf strain while training with Peel last month, will be assessed today before a decision is made about resuming training with the main group.
