Fremantle have elevated rookie Lisa Webb ahead of Sunday’s season opener against the Western Bulldogs at VU Whitten Oval.
Webb has been added to the list as a replacement for Kiara Bowers, who is continuing to her rehabilitation from a knee injury.
Bowers missed the inaugural AFLW season last year after injuring her ACL for the Coastal Titans in a 2016 WAWFL final.
Players on injury lists can be elevated back onto the main list at any time during the season and the club is confident that Bowers will be available for selection in the second half of the season.
Webb’s elevation means she is eligible for selection for Sunday’s clash with the Bulldogs.
An elite runner, Webb commenced her football career in 2017 with the Coastal Titans, winning their best first-year player award.
Fremantle will announce their initial squad of 23 for Sunday’s game on Thursday at 3pm, with the final 21 to be announced on Friday.
