With Saturday night’s Doig Medal Presentation Dinner approaching, fremantlefc.com.au looks at which players are likely to fare well in Fremantle’s night of nights at the Crown Ballroom.

David Mundy, who has finished in the top five in six of the past eight Doig Medal counts, is again likely to poll well after an impressive 2017 season.

The 2010 Doig Medal winner delivered in a number of crucial performances in 2017, including his 30 disposals against the Western Bulldogs in round three, which earned the veteran midfielder two Brownlow votes.

The highlight came against Richmond in round seven, where Mundy kicked the game-winning goal after the siren.

Mundy ranked fourth for the club for disposals and third for contested possessions, clearances, tackles and inside 50s.

Mundy played in 21 games in 2017, averaging 21.3 disposals and 4.1 tackles per game while also kicking 13 goals.
