Fremantle legend Matthew Pavlich holds top spot in numerous statistical categories from his 353 games at Fremantle, but at least one of these is under threat by Freo’s current skipper, Nat Fyfe.

Pavlich leads all Fremantle players in categories such as games played, goals (700), disposals (6109), inside 50s (1309) and contested marks (481).

He also has the most attention from the umpires, leading frees won (342), frees against (337) and all time Brownlow-votes (126).

With Fyfe polling 15 votes in Monday night's Brownlow Medal count, the 2015 Brownlow Medallist took his career tally to 125, making him an almost certainty to surpass Pavlich in 2018.

Fyfe’s 125 votes have come from 127 regular season games, compared to Pavlich’s 126 from 338 regular season games.

With an average of 0.98 votes per game, Fyfe is the clear standout from current AFL players – followed by Patrick Dangerfield (0.87), Gary Ablett jnr (0.82), Joel Selwood (0.81) and Dustin Martin (0.78).

The only AFL/VFL player with a higher votes per game average is three-time Brownlow winner Haydn Bunton Snr, who averaged 1.04 votes per game for Fitzroy from 1931 to 1937 and a further two games played in 1942.

Bunton also played four seasons with Subiaco – winning three Sandover Medals in 1938, 1939 and 1941.
