Fremantle forward Cam McCarthy has been offered a two-game suspension by the AFL’s match review panel for engaging in rough conduct against St Kilda’s Sam Gilbert.
The incident occurred during the third quarter of Fremantle’s clash with St Kilda at Domain Stadium on Sunday and was assessed as careless with high impact to the head.
The charge carries a three-match suspension, which can be reduced to two with an early plea.
In other incidents, McCarthy, Nick Suban and Brady Grey were charged for engaging in a melee during the second quarter.
Both Suban and McCarthy’s charge are a second offence, which carries a $1,500 sanction with an early plea.
Grey’s charge is a first offence, which carries a $1,000 sanction with an early plea.
