Richmond’s Trent Cotchin has been charged by the AFL Match Review Panel for striking Fremantle’s Lachie Neale.
The incident took place during the first quarter of Sunday’s thrilling two-point win over the Tigers at the MCG.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from Fremantle, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
The MRP classified the incident as a $1500 sanction but as Cotchin has no previous record, an early plea enables him to accept a $1000 sanction.
