Nat Fyfe is free to play against Essendon this weekend after the AFL Match Review Panel assessed his contact with Elliot Yeo.
Fyfe was charged with striking Yeo, at the 17-minute mark of the fourth quarter in Saturday’s clash at Domain Stadium.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from West Coast, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction but as Fyfe has no applicable record an early plea enables him to accept a $1000 sanction.
