- Chuot announced as an AFL multicultural ambassador
- Can't wipe a smile off 'Juddy'
- Celebration of women and sport at Domain Stadium
Beatrice Devlyn and Akec Chuot have been added to Fremantle’s NAB AFL Women’s squad of 24 that will take on Melbourne on Saturday at Casey Fields.
Both Devlyn and Chuot come into the side after being named as emergencies for Fremantle’s historic first AFLW win against Carlton in round six at Domain Stadium.
The win saw Fremantle end Carlton’s hopes of making the inaugural AFL Women’s Grand Final, and Freo have the opportunity to play spoiler for a second straight week against the third-placed Demons.
With one round to play in the competition, Fremantle sit sixth with a win and a draw after six rounds.
A win against Melbourne can see Fremantle finish as high as fifth.
Chuot and Devlyn have been named on the bench alongside Demi Okely, Gemma Houghton, Ashley Sharp, Kira Phillips, Stephanie Cain and Tarni Golisano.
The final team of 22 will be announced via the @freodockers twitter account on game day.
