Saturday night’s Women’s All-Stars match is shaping up as a talent scout’s dream with elite players from around the country coming together to line up for either Melbourne or the Western Bulldogs as the two clubs battle it out for the Hampson-Hardeman Cup.
The Hampson-Hardeman Cup, which was initially played between the two clubs in 2013 in recognition of trailblazers Barb Hampson and Lisa Hardeman, will be the culmination of the exhibition series played.
Fremantle coach Michelle Cowan is set to coach her former club in the Demons and will cast her eye over potential recruits as well as those already signed to opposition clubs when she travels to Whitten Oval in Melbourne.

Freo’s marquee signing Kara Donnellan will line-up for Cowan’s Melbourne side, which also includes arguably the best female player in the country in Daisy Pearce.
Other WA talent on show for Melbourne include Brianna Green and Emma Swanson from East Fremantle, Ebony Antonio and Chelsea Randall from Swan Districts, and South Fremantle’s Sabrina Frederick-Traub.
East Fremantle’s Jess Wuetschner and Coastal Titans' Emma King are the two WA representatives for the Bulldogs.
It is expected that most, if not all, of the talent on show will be signed to an AFL club for the inaugural women’s AFL season in 2017.
