Adelaide flexed its muscles with yet another convincing win, this time over Fremantle, to stay in the hunt for a top-two finish.
Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins kicked 11 goals between them to help the Crows win, 21.16 (142) to 11.4 (70).
It is the first time in the Crows' history they have registered two wins at Domain Stadium in the same season after beating West Coast back in round 12.
The Freo Dockers' straight kicking in front of goal offset their poor field kicking.
The Crows yielded 16 of their 21 goals from Freo turnovers.
Betts was the major beneficiary. He kicked six goals, his best return this year, to take his season tally to 60. Jenkins bagged five, the majority from within 15m of goals.
Talking points from Adelaide clash
The Crows had a huge number of contributors in the midfield. Rory Laird, Rory Atkins and Richard Douglas all had more than 30 disposals at better than 83 per cent efficiency.
Michael Walters was one of the rare shining lights for the Freo Dockers, kicking five goals for the first time in his career. Lachie Neale and Stephen Hill fought hard in the midfield. Alex Silvagni had a decent day on Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker, keeping him to one goal and winning a number of one-on-ones.
The Dockers squared the clearances (34-34) but gave up 69 inside 50s to 45 after turning over the ball.
The Crows increased their lead at every change and hardly relented with the exception of a brief period at the start of the last quarter.
Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands spent most of the second half on the bench with a leg injury.
NEXT UP
Freo travel to face the Giants at Spotless Stadium next Saturday afternoon. The Crows head home for the Showdown with Port Adelaide next Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.
