Michael Johnson will not play again this season, after suffering a setback in his recovery from injury.
The veteran defender was on track to play after recovering from a serious knee and hamstring injury, which he received against Carlton in round five, but suffered an injury to the sheath of his Achilles tendon, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
The Sandi effect
“He was right on track two weeks ago, but he was a bit sore in his Achilles,” coach Ross Lyon said.
“He was ahead of Aaron (Sandilands), so it’s put him back two weeks, so by the time he gets moving he will roll into summer.”
