Geelong’s star players will be a good experience for the younger Fremantle players, according to senior coach Ross Lyon.
“Connor Blakely at times will have to play on Dangerfield, and tighten up on him, and learn the business a little bit more,” Lyon told the media on Wednesday.
“He’s (Dangerfield) a unique beast.
“Maybe we’ll put Lachie Weller at half-back flank so he can experience Motlop.
“He’s (Motlop) a super player.”
Quick start needed against Cats: Crozier
Blakely and Weller both received NAB Rising Star nominations this year, in rounds 11 and 12 respectively.
“We’d like to expose them,” Lyon said.
“Connor Blakely will probably find himself at half-back at some point, because we want to start that education.
“He (Weller) probably deserves a midfield opportunity, we want to continue that education.”
Fremantle take on Geelong at Domain Stadium on Friday night at 6:10 AWST.
