Matthew Pavlich is set to make the trip to Melbourne ahead of the Friday night clash with Collingwood at the MCG.
“We always go through the variables, but we made a decision that Matthew will play,” senior coach Ross Lyon told the media on Wednesday.

Young forward Ed Langdon was expected to play after a strong performance for Peel Thunder in the WAFL. Langdon kicked five goals and had 25 disposals in the loss against South Fremantle on Sunday.
“It was a good performance, he’s named and he’ll go over,” Lyon said.
“I’m not sure who he’s going to push out. We’ve been thrilled with Weller, Ballantyne, Walters and Tucker.”
Jack Hannath is set to replace the injured Tanner Smith, to match the height of Collingwood’s ruckmen.
“It’d be easy to go Ed, because he was the best player, but it doesn’t work that way.
“You’ve got to get your team balance.
“They’ve got a couple of big ruckmen that we’re going to need to compete against.”
