Fremantle midfielder Lachie Neale was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing Freo performance in Sunday’s 65-point loss to the Western Bulldogs.
Neale led Freo with 32 disposals but was far from satisfied with the result and his own individual performance.
“It’s not everything (possessions),” Neale said.
“I was beaten on the spread at times and didn’t work smart enough.

“I’m in with everyone, and we’ve got six days to bounce back and show some Freo Docker footy.”
Freo football has been known for contested football and disciplined defence, none of which were present against the Bulldogs, Neale said.
“We were beaten in all facets,” he said.
“They were more skilful, worked harder and beat us around the contest.
“It didn’t really surprise us, we knew what they were going to be like and we just didn’t execute.
“It was a pretty poor day.”
Mundy post-match
While the loss wasn’t the result Freo were looking for, Neale said the focus now becomes applying lessons from the Bulldogs game against the Gold Coast in next weeks Starlight Purple Haze game at Domain Stadium.
“We’ll review it pretty fiercely and look at ways to improve and get going from there,” he said.
“But that’s the thing we have to do and the beauty about footy is that there is always next week.
“The season can quickly get away from you if you’re concentrating too hard on one loss.”
