Starlight Purple Haze Pledge’s have kicked off with Aaron Sandilands issuing a challenge to second year player Connor Blakely
Sandilands revealed on the Fremantle Dockers Instagram account that he would donate $100 to the Starlight Purple Haze Game if Blakely agreed to shave his beard prior to the match game against Gold Coast on Saturday 2 April.
Raising for the stars
Blakely accepted the challenge to shave his beard and responded with a pledge of $3 for every Sandilands ruck hit out in Freo’s first home game for 2016.
Blakely’s pledge has the potential to be very generous, as Sandilands had a career-best 70 hit outs in his last game against the Suns.
Tickets for the 2016 Starlight Purple Haze Game, proudly supported by Fremantle Ports, are on sale now.
The Fremantle Dockers Foundation is proud to have the Starlight Children's Foundation on board as a Principal 'Friend of the Foundation'.
