Michael Walters says he is primed for Friday night’s Preliminary Final against Hawthorn after one of his most consistent seasons.
The exciting small forward has played 21 of the club’s 23 games this season, missing two games late in the home and away season with calf soreness.
Preliminary Final ticketing information
Walters is leading the club’s season goal kicking with 41 goals and may pass his previous best of 46, set in 2013.
He told The Weekend West that a relatively injury free season and pre-season had helped him string consistent games together.
“I’ve very rarely missed any training sessions this year and especially through-out the pre-season,” Walters said.
“It’s always good to come into the season feeling fit.
“I’ve had a few injuries throughout the last couple of years.
Game Breaker: Walters all class
“It’s good to feel good going into the finals and those breaks really helped me as well.”
Walters played just eight games last year, missing four months due to an ankle injury.
“This year is probably my best year, considering the amount of games I’ve played.”
Fremantle play Hawthorn at Domain Stadium on Friday 25 August. Bounce down is at 6.20pm.
