Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe has finished runner-up by just one vote in the 2015 AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year.
The two-time Doig Medallist polled 100 votes and was pipped by Sydney’s Dan Hannebery who recorded 101 votes.
Fyfe led the count until the start of round 23, despite missing the final two home and away games due to a leg injury.
Fellow midfielder David Mundy came in equal sixth and polled 73 votes.
Fyfe averaged 28.8 disposals per game and kicked 17 goals during the regular season.

They voted for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5.
The maximum a player could score in a match was 10 (with 5 votes from both coaches).
