Melbourne may be near the bottom of the ladder but Fremantle’s Michael Johnson says they are no easy beats.
The Demons lost to Carlton last round and head into Sunday’s game at Domain Stadium off the back of three consecutive losses.
Johnson said Fremantle was wary of a Melbourne side fighting for pride.
“We don’t go into the game thinking it’s going to be an easy win,” he said.
“Melbourne are under the pump at the moment.
“We’ve found that teams like to get away from their home town and play really good away games.
Johnson said Fremantle want to get back on the winner’s list after two consecutive losses.
“We’re ready to go,” he said.
“Melbourne still have some quality players in their team.
“I’m sure a lot of them will want to stand up and finish the year on a high.”
Fremantle play Melbourne at Domain Stadium on Sunday 30 August. Bounce down is at 2.40pm
