Midfielder Lachie Neale says no bad blood remains between Fremantle and West Coast after Sunday’s hotly contested Carlton Draught Derby.

It will go down as one of the most memorable encounters, mainly for two off-the-ball incidents that resulted in suspensions.

Fremantle defender Alex Silvagni was suspended for four weeks for striking and Chris Masten received a two-game sanction for biting, on Tuesday.

Neale said Fremantle was firmly focused on its next opponent, an in-form North Melbourne and held no grudge against its Perth counterparts.

“We have to move onto next week and try and improve our football,” he said.

“Both sides are professional enough to move on.”

Twin towers to face off

Neale said there was no obvious spite on field during the round 20 clash at Domain Stadium, despite the two incidents that were sent straight to the AFL tri bunal.

“We’re both strong competitors, we love to win,” he said.

“It was just two fierce teams going head to head.”
