Fremantle are not underestimating an injury depleted West Coast ahead of Sunday’s Carlton Draught Derby, says senior coach Ross Lyon.
 
The Eagles remain second on the ladder despite losing a number of key players for the season such as Eric McKenzie and Nathan Brown.

The side will also be without Nic Naitanui (personal) and Jeremy McGovern (hamstring) for Sunday’s game at Domain Stadium.
 
Lyon said West Coast had shown they could win despite a long injury list.
 
“They’ve proven to be very capable missing key personnel all year,” he said.
 
“We’re playing a formidable opponent on the weekend.
 
Lyon said the Eagles’ midfield depth was arguably their strongest line.

“We don’t underestimate their midfield,” he said.
 
“It’s a significant strength for them.
 
“(Matthew) Priddis, (Elliot) Yeo, (Brad) Sheppard, (Jamie) Cripps, (Sharrod) Wellingham.
 
“You don’t end up second on the ladder without an incredibly strong midfield.”
