Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich will reach two significant milestones against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

Pavlich will move into 20th spot for most AFL/VFL games in his 330th game against the Giants, passing Footscray and North Melbourne player Gary Dempsey (329).

The match will also be his 184th as captain, equaling North Melbourne champion Wayne Carey at sixth spot for the most AFL games as captain.

Carlton legend Stephen Kernahan (226) has captained the most AFL/VFL games with Dick Reynolds (224), Ted Whitten (212), Michael Voss (210) and John Nicholls (188) completing the top five.
