Taking ‘really good speccys’ is why Nat Fyfe is four-year-old’s Xavier Gray’s favourite player.
Xavier along with his seven-year-old brother Isaac and grandparents Diane and Alan were amongst more than 1000 Freo fans who attended the club’s open training session on Wednesday morning.
The players completed a training session before meeting fans and taking time out for photos and signatures.
“Tendai Mzungu is Isaac’s favourite player, but I like Fyfe because he takes good marks and really good speccys,” Xavier said.
“I want to get Fyfe, Michael Barlow and Aaron Sandilands to sign my poster.”
Xavier’s grandfather Alan said the brothers have slowly become Freo fans.
“They had been slowly indoctrinated into becoming Freo fans,” Alan said.
“We took the boys to the Freo v Brisbane game on the weekend, and they’ll become members soon.”
“It’s great for them to be able to come down and watch the training session.”
