It will be just the second time Fremantle’s played in the primetime Thursday night slot. The last outing was a win over Carlton last year. Collingwood is used to the bright lights and has won two of its past three games against Fremantle at Domain Stadium.

Fremantle will need to be on its game to combat a talented Collingwood forward line. Luke McPharlin will likely get the job on Magpies big man Travis Cloke but Jamie Elliott, Jesse White and Jarryd Blair must also be closely checked. Freo will be hoping to bolster its forward line with the return of Chris Mayne, who missed the Gold Coast due to illness.

Both teams head into this game off a bye. Collingwood won four games in a row leading into the break while Fremantle ground out a win against the Gold Coast after a loss to Richmond the week before.
