Ahead of his 100th game against Gold Coast on Saturday, we take a look back at Michael Barlow’s first game for Freo.

There are not many better debut games than Michael Barlow’s first game for Fremantle.

The mature-aged rookie burst onto the football stage, gathering a game high of 33 touches in Round 1, 2010.

Ten of those were contested disposals, combined with six marks, four tackles and two goals.

Every game is a Grand Final: Barlow

His first game was even more impressive given he had only been in the AFL system for a matter of months.

Barlow earned an immediate debut in 2010, after impressing coaches during his first pre-season.

He earned plaudits from the media and even then Adelaide coach Neil Craig after Fremantle romped home by 56 points.

Craig said Barlow was a hardened player who had an outstanding debut.
