Defender Alex Silvagni may be a welcome inclusion to Fremantle’s backline on Saturday ahead of a massive test against Sydney’s tall forwards.
Silvagni is yet to play a game this season but will be available for selection after recovering from a hamstring injury.
He kept reigning Coleman Medallist Lance Franklin to just one goal in the first three quarters of last year’s Qualifying Final against Sydney.

Sports science manager Jason Weber said Silvagni and Tommy Sheridan were both in the mix for round four.
“‘Sos’ is going really well, he’s trained strongly over the last couple of weeks, “ he said.
“He trained fully on Tuesday with the team, he’ll be available for match committee.”
“(Sheridan) had a good strong couple of weeks, trained fully with the WAFL boys on Tuesday and will be available for selection.”
Michael Apeness and Tanner Smith both suffered concussions playing for Peel and will not be available.
“Both those guys were struck last week, at this stage the medical advice is they will have another week off, just to make sure they are clear,” he said.
Weber said defender Zac Dawson is on track to return about round six.
“Dawson is doing really well, he’s on target,” he said.
“We should see him in training next week.”
