Fremantle turned up the game situation work at training on Friday morning as the club edges closer to its first hit-out.
The team will play an intra-club match on Saturday 21 February at Fremantle Oval, with the first NAB Challenge match against Melbourne at the same venue on Thursday 5 March.
Inside 50 entry and ball transference from defence into attack was the order of the day at Friday’s session.
Rookie Tom Vandeleur was developed as a defender at Peel Thunder last year. He was faced with the challenging task on manning up Freo superstar Nat Fyfe as the midfielders pumped in entry after entry.
It didn’t get any easier for the 19-year-old when Fyfe swapped into the midfield and was replaced by David Mundy.
Garrick Ibbotson showed how versatile he can be, playing on 203cm Zac Clarke and 174cm Hayden Ballantyne.
