After arriving back from Brisbane late Sunday night the travelling Freo squad ventured to Cottesloe Beach for a recovery session on Tuesday morning.

Fremantle now takes on Port Adelaide in a must-win clash at Patersons Stadium on Saturday to secure a top-four finish.

Tendai Mzungu said the session at the beach was just a ‘little extra’ the team was doing this week given it was a six-day break.

“It’s a beautiful change down at Cottesloe Beach to have a freshen up,” Mzungu said.

“It’s good to do little things like this, just a bit of extra recovery to give ourselves every chance,” Mzungu said.

“It’s a long trip over from Brisbane and that’s all we can do, prepare really well and look forward to the challenge of Port”

Mzungu gathered 22 disposals and laid seven tackles in the 58-point win over the Lions and said he had pulled up well from the weekend’s game.

“I got a bit of a cramp at the end, but I’m feeling good,” he said.

“We are looking forward to playing Port and embracing the challenge of fighting for a top-four spot.”

The team will have its main training session on Thursday morning at Fremantle Oval before taking on Port this Saturday at 1.10pm at Patersons Stadium.

Lee Spurr led a stretching session on the grassed area before the players headed into the ocean.

Danyle Pearce and Nick Suban were the first out of the water, while Stephen Hill was the last one left.

The conditions at Cottesloe Beach were a bit 'trying' according to Tendai Mzungu.
