Ross Lyon has revealed Matthew Pavlich is unlikely to play against Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Saturday night.

The Fremantle skipper was subbed out in the second quarter of last Thursday night’s match against Carlton with concussion.

Pavlich trained lightly on Tuesday morning, but Lyon told Channel 7 the club legend would most likely miss the clash against the Cats.

“He failed a cognitive state (test), so I’m planning for him not to play until he proves otherwise,” he said.

Fremantle’s captain played his 300th AFL game in round 9 against Geelong earlier this season.
