Nat Fyfe is streaking away from the field in the 2014 AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year award.
Every round the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. They vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5.
The maximum a player can score is 10 (with 5 votes from both coaches).
The Freo superstar was given maximum votes from Ross Lyon and Carlton’s Mick Malthouse for his stunning performance at Patersons Stadium last Thursday night.
His final quarter was simply superb in a thrilling win and he finished the match with 28 touches (21 contested), 13 clearances and two goals.
Fyfe now has 93 votes for the season and leads Sydney midfielder Josh Kennedy by 15.
The 22-year-old would be a favourite for this year’s Brownlow Medal but is ineligible because of a two-week suspension from round 2.
