Tendai Mzungu is the latest Fremantle Docker to commit to the club after the midfielder signed a two-year extension.

Mzungu was contracted until the end of this season and will now remain at Freo until the end of 2015.

Fremantle general manager of player management Brad Lloyd said the club was pleased to lock away another key player.

"Retaining our talent is a major focus, and we see Tendai as an important member of our squad,” he said.

"He started his AFL journey late, but since the day he arrived at Fremantle he's been outstanding with his commitment to his football. We're excited to keep him at the club for a minimum of another two years.”

Mzungu won Perth's best and fairest in 2010 before being drafted to Freo in a pre-draft trade with the Gold Coast Suns later that year.

He has played 45 of a possible 46 games since making his debut in round 9, 2011. Mzungu’s contract extension follows recent new deals for youngsters Hayden Crozier and Cam Sutcliffe, and experienced players Michael Johnson, Chris Mayne and Zac Dawson.
