Fremantle Football Club has announced a statutory profit of $1.85 million, which includes $1.18 million of development grants in relation to the expansion of the Club’s training & administration facility at Cockburn Central. The operating profit was $0.68 million and is after a royalty payment to WA Football of $1.23 million.

President Chris Sutherland reflected on the Club's fourth consecutive year of achieving an operating profit.

“Our financial stability is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the Club, as well as our dedicated members who continue to show up,” Sutherland said.

“Achieving a record membership of 62,237 and top four in the AFL for average home game attendance is a clear indication of the unwavering support from our fans. Their loyalty and passion drives us to keep pushing forward.”

The Club also achieved its highest-ever turnover, with record revenue growth across key commercial and consumer areas, which allowed the Club to contribute $3.89 million for the financial year towards the training & administration facility expansion.

The state-of-the-art AFL Women’s and community changerooms, and 250-seat spectator viewing area at Cockburn Central are due to be finished ahead of the upcoming 2025 AFLW season.

“To be able to provide the facilities that our women’s team truly deserve and which enables wider local football participation, shows our commitment to women’s football and the local community,” Sutherland said.

“Our continuing strong financial performance has enabled us to fully fund our football programs; build these new facilities; make a solid contribution to WA Football; and continue to invest in the further development of our Next Generation Academies and the Purple Hands Foundation."

“I want to thank everyone in the Freo family who continues to breathe life into this Club.

“We believe the foundations are strong as we look forward to on-field success for both our men's and women's teams in 2025 and beyond.”
