Four players are confirmed to make their NAB AFL Women’s debut when Fremantle take on the Western Bulldogs on Sunday at VU Whitten Oval.
Jodie White, Evie Gooch, Leah Mascall and Ashlee Atkins will all play their first AFLW game while former GWS Giant Alex Williams will make her debut for Freo.
All five are expected to start on the ground, with the debutants adding plenty of height to Freo’s lineup, with Williams playing at full back, White at centre half back and Gooch at centre half forward.
Mascall will play alongside some of Freo’s most experienced players, named in the midfield with captain Kara Donnellan and Fairest and Best winner Dana Hooker.
Belinda Smith, Amy Lavell, Cassie Davidson, Ashley Sharp and Lara Filocamo have been named on the bench.
Lisa Webb, who was recently elevated from the rookie list, and Tayla McAuliffe have been named as the emergencies.
